You also get Gloves of Power early on for another +1. Using Guidance you get +1d4.Persuasion and Deception, Insight or Performance, in general, in my opinion. When you are optimizing a 4-member group it's better to have dedicated specialists for things like Perception and Sleight of Hand, ideally group members with a higher ability score that is relevant for those skills.
